Often referred to as Mrs C (the co-founder, creative director and cosmetic designer) of Bees Brilliance. Julene is always coming up with new ideas to help improve our impact on people, the planet. Her goal is to create more employment opportunities to the women in our local community.
When Matt is not climbing mountains or restoring classic cars, you will find him working behind the scenes to make sure the manufacturing process is ticking along smoothly. A beekeeper, aircraft engineer and qualified formulation chemist, he has a practical eye for detail and ensures every jar that leaves the factory is “perfecto”.
Shalini is our technical expert, who takes the idea through rigorous development to a scalable manufacturing batch. A qualified chemist, she loves furry four-legged animals and exploring the national parks in the top of the South Island of New Zealand.

Rachael
Production Compounder
Rachael is one of those amazing super women, who we all admire. She enjoys watching her children play sport and weekend trips away to Golden Bay with the family. You’ll find her at work in the production room mixing tanks of lotions and potions. She has completed her Advanced Certificate of Cosmetic Science, whilst also balancing a truck load of tasks (phew!).
A perfectionist, with attention to detail Carleen is responsible for ensuring the lotions and potions are packed as finished goods and delivered to customers on time and in full. When she is not overseeing thousands of little pots of cream, she is enjoying family time with her husband, two children and their pet dog.
Our remote digital guru, when Geni isn’t collating content for our social platforms, she’s practicing yoga or hitting her local plant-based eatery. Geni uses her many years of marketing experience and creative know-how to help Bees Brilliance to grow to new heights both locally and internationally.
